Volunteer Opportunities

Non-Attorney Volunteer Registration

Legal Aid Society regularly has opportunities for non-attorney volunteers in some of its local offices, especially from persons who can help with operational and clerical tasks. Volunteers may help answer the phone, handle general office work, translate and interpret, assist attorneys in gathering information and materials for their cases and on other responsibilities as necessary, depending upon the office’s needs and the experience of the volunteer.

Non-attorney volunteers should be available for at least 10 hours per week, and should anticipate being able to assist for at least eight weeks. Depending upon the kind of work they are supporting, they may be required to permit a criminal background check. If you are interested in such a position, fill out our volunteer form or contact the local office where you would like to work.
