January Office Updates and Staff Anniversaries
Office Shout Outs
Clarksville – Congratulations to Paige Barbeauld on the completion of a three-day trial regarding an involuntary nursing home discharge!
Cookeville – Cookeville, in conjunction with the Young Lawyers Division, launched a Free Legal Debt Clinic on January 23. There was a total of four volunteer attorneys who were able to assist ten attendees.
Gallatin – Congratulations to the Gallatin office for a 31% increase in the number of people served in Sumner county. In the 2018 we reported 275 people served in Sumner County. In 2019, we reported 401 served in Sumner County.
Murfreesboro – Congratulations to Jeni Pegram who has increased the DV advocacy in Rutherford County as a result of the VOCA Enhancement Grant.
Nashville – Shot out to Nashville for increasing services in Williamson County by increasing outreach there.
Oakridge – Under the VOCA grant Nick Armes completed a total of 118 cases from October – December helping LAS reach VOCA enhancement quarterly goals.
TSLA – Completed a POA Clinic in the Upper Cumberlands where we were able to assist 10 of the 14 people in attendance.
Tullahoma – The Tullahoma office will be launching a New Free Legal Clinic in Shelbyville starting February 29th.
