A Call for Compassion: An Open Letter to Nashville Landlords
In response to the severe impacts of Winter Storm Fern, the Eviction Right to Counsel Coalition has issued an open letter to Davidson County landlords requesting a temporary pause on evictions for nonpayment of rent and a waiver of late fees. During prolonged power and heat outages, many Nashville families were forced to use rent money to pay for emergency housing, transportation, food replacement, and other basic needs. As residents continue to recover from the storm and stabilize their households, housing stability is essential to community recovery and long-term resilience.
