Programa de abogados voluntarios

Through the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP), LAS trains and supports pro bono lawyers and volunteers serving 48 counties in Middle Tennessee.

With the support of pro bono lawyers, families are able to stay in their homes, protect their safety, secure financial stability, and move forward with hope.

Volunteer lawyers play a critical role in expanding access to justice by helping LAS reach people who cannot afford a lawyer.

Oportunidades de voluntariado centradas en la comunidad

LAS partners with community organizations across Middle Tennessee to offer free, community-based legal clinics. These clinics give people the chance to speak with a lawyer, understand their legal issues, and learn their options.

Some clinics offer general legal advice on a range of civil legal issues and provide clients with a free consultation from a qualified volunteer attorney. Other clinics focus on specific legal needs, such as criminal record expungements, estate planning, or bankruptcy. These clinics may require volunteer lawyers to prepare documents in advance so clients can receive more complete help.
