Project Coordinator- Nashville

Legal Aid Society has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hours per week) Project Coordinator in its Nashville office.  This position will support the work of the Volunteer Lawyers Program across the 48 county service area. The Project Coordinator will conduct intake for specific cases for which the Volunteer Lawyers Program provides representation, and will work with the supervising attorney to recruit lawyers for legal clinics and develop new resources to provide representation. This position will also supervise legal help clinics across the service area that connect low-income people with free legal help. The Project Coordinator will be supervised by the Director of the Volunteer Lawyers Program, and will monitor and comply with grant requirements and reporting.

 

Required Qualifications: Must be a self-starter with an ability to multi-task and complete projects timely.  Must be committed to providing services to low-income people.  Must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills.  Must be able to follow directions and work with a team and independently.  Ability to relate to the needs of people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Strong typing and computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc) and Legal Files database preferred.  Paralegal experience preferred. Ability to learn new computer skills.  Associate’s Degree Preferred.  Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
