ERTC Outreach Coordinator
Location: Nashville
Salary $45,000.00 – $51,000.00 per year
The Eviction Right to Counsel Program is a grant-funded project where low and moderate-income tenants facing eviction will receive legal representation to ensure equity and inclusion in the legal system. The ERTC Outreach Coordinator will work in coordination with staff to develop, support, and execute outreach initiatives in the Davidson Country service area. The ERTC Outreach Coordinator will assist and provide clients with resources, guides, and information about accessing services and other benefits unique to the ERTC program. This position is funded in part by and in collaboration with one or more grants. This position is funded for the duration of the grant and subsequent renewal may result in modification of job duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Represent LASMTC in the community, attend outreach events, network with other service providers, and make appropriate referrals for legal assistance.
- Maintain daily presence in the courthouse to provide information to tenants facing eviction.
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
- Conduct online and hybrid outreach events and know-your-rights trainings.
- Establish new and nurture old relationships with collaborative partners.
- Prepare accurate records and reports on outreach goals.
- Assist in the development and distribution of a wide variety of messaging, video digital, and other outreach materials that are culturally and linguistically appropriate and that can be distributed through trusted channels to the targeted communities.
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with organizations in the service area and state which would benefit the client population.
- Assist with intake as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED. Associate’s degree preferred.
- Two years prior experience working in a law office, court, social service agency, or other relevant setting.
- Project management experience.
- Experience working with low-income people.
- Basic proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including in client interviews and helping people in crisis.
- Proficiency in the use of office equipment (copiers, scanners, facsimile, postage machine, etc.).
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish or Arabic is a plus.
