Legal Aid Society has an immediate opening for an Office Manager & Secretarial Assistant in its Nashville office. This position will serve as office manager, back-up receptionist, general office trouble-shooter and volunteer coordinator. Also provide secretarial support to all legal units. Complete general client intakes as needed.
Qualifications: Must be able to effectively communicate in oral and written form. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to the needs of people of diverse backgrounds and adhere to confidentiality standards. Must be very detail oriented and have good organizational skills. Must be able to follow directions and work with a team and independently. Ability to prioritize work. Strong typing, proofreading, and computer skills, Must be able to transcribe dictation. Experience with Microsoft Office software and Legal Files database a plus. Some lifting (under 50 lbs) and light travel may be required. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus. Prior experience as an office manager and working in the legal field is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Salary: Dependent on Experience. Excellent benefits.
